Background:
Dr. Moe Alahmad received a PhD. in Electrical Engineering
in 2005, a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering in 1991 and
a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in 1989 from the University
of Idaho, Moscow, Idaho, USA. Dr. Alahmad holds a Professional Engineering
(PE) license since 1996. Industry experience includes over ten years
of electrical distribution system design for new and renovated facilities
and electrical distribution system infrastructure planning and analysis
for a university campus. Dr. Alahmad's last position was an Engineering
Supervisor overseeing work of electrical, mechanical and civil engineering
professional at A/E, Facilities Operations, Washington State University.
Research interests include electrical system analysis, design, distribution
and protection; power management system design and implementation
using reconfigurable architectures; battery power management and renewable
energy alternatives. Previous publications include several papers
in the area of power management and microbattery testing and system
design implementation.
